The Vulgar Blogger Award

Holy sh#t, I don’t fu*king believe it. I’ve just received another goddamned award, and this time, my vulgarity has finally been recognized. I’m just so fu*king excited to….

Hold on.

What?

What do you mean, versatile?

Oh…

Nevermind folks.

It would appear as if I’ve been given the VERSATILE blogger award. It would also appear I am in need of some more coffee on this fine Monday afternoon that I just awoke into, at a casually late 12:00, noon (exhausting weekend).

versatile

Right, let’s get to it shall we?

Yar, Here be the rules:

Rule number one: Include some sort of pirate speech into your acceptance post to show everyone how versatile you are.

Totally just made that one up, but let’s see if it travels through the chain letter award ceremony process that is The Versatile Blogger award.

And now, for the actual rules:

  • Display the award on your Blog.
  • Announce your win with a post and thank the Blogger who nominated you.
  • Present 15 deserving Bloggers with the award.
  • Link your nominees in the post and let them know of their nomination with a comment.
  • Post seven things about yourself.

My faithful and loyal reader and fellow blogger, Chris over at Chris Musgrave: Writer In Training has bestowed this incredible honor of extra work upon me, and I am simply giddy over it. His blog is a constant source of excellent writing advice and his regular comments and participation here at The Playground help the entertainment value to continue long after the actual post is finished…. in the comments section. That’s where the magic happens.

And the nominees are: (just so you know  if you’re nominated, you’ve won so I’m not sure why you’re called nominees).

And the Winners are, in no particular order (even though I was first in Chris’s nomination list..just saying):

The Secret World of Pixie Knucklecracker

The Convolutd Menagerie

Our Blended Marriage

Ana Lyn’s Blogging Adventures

The German Perspective

South Jersey Explorer

Help Along the Path

Part Time Monster

The Silver Leaf Journal

Miss Lou Aquiring Lore (intended typo?)

White Roses and Lilies

Linking Loops

Belsbror

Harbin 77

Living in the Moment

Now listen everyone, I’m sure some of you have no interest in this award, and that’s cool. Your “nomination” is also a tribute to your blogs, from me. So that you know that I’m reading, I’m enjoying, and I’m thankful to also have you around at The Playground.

So accept it, don’t accept it, enjoy the improved traffic this post may or may not get you, use this as an excuse to purchase those new shoes you’ve had your eyes on (that goes for you too, girls) or just as an excuse to eat cake today with a 23-year-old Islay single malt.

I know I will…

And now, 7 things about myself:

  1. I’m versatile
  2. I’m a blogger
  3. I’m a versatile blogger
  4. I’ve recently been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award
  5. I’m tired
  6. I’m also currently hungry
  7. I’ve even more recently, completed the Versatile Blogger Award requirements.

  1. Once again, I totally get it if you don’t “accept” awards (meaning you don’t want to go through the motions of accepting the award, choosing others, etc., etc.…honestly, I get it). I REALLY GET IT. Just say thanks and let’s move on. I’ll not be checking on you 24/7 to see if you’ve actually followed through. I don’t have that kind of technology at my disposal yet, and I’ll likely forget this whole thing happened by tomorrow.

Plus, it hurts my feelings when you don’t accept it. Just accept it but don’t accept it. Remember..I have a sword and know how to use it.

  2. *snorks*… LMAO.. Hardy Ha!
    Love the award!! Thank you!
I’m too slack to actually do any of the stuff involved so will accept it, but then run off with it and never be seen again! ( I’m trying to accumulate as many as I can in this manner, so then they become rare and people have to start paying me for them)

I feel like such an idiot doing this.. but.. here goes:

    Lore (lɔː)
    n
    1. collective knowledge or wisdom on a particular subject, esp of a traditional nature
    2. knowledge or learning
    3. teaching, or something that is taught

*steals Orange Juice and Croissant from your fridge and races off*
