Photo Challenge Day 2: Symmetry

Whoops.

Today slipped by quite fast again.

I did my first “loppis” today, which is basically a giant flea market. After the expense for the table and clothes rack, the double cheeseburger from McDonalds which served as brunch, and the two glasses of red wine that I drank because.. Well because there was a bar there, ok? I made a bit of a profit. Not much, but sorry. I’m not going to haggle down a pair of Hunter boots that I paid 1200 SEK for and wore once. 300 SEK was already the bargain of a lifetime. I actually had a woman who couldn’t have been a day under 70 ask me how much for the boots. When I told her 300 SEK, she said, “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”

No joke, kids.

That’s exactly what she said to me.

Luckily a gal who couldn’t have been a day over 25, realized what an incredible deal this was and snatched it up.

Anyway, as this was a flea market and today’s photo challenge topic of “symmetry” was actually nowhere to be found on the menu, I’m going to have to post an oldie for today’s photo challenge (again.) (I know.) (Shut up.).

If you’d like to partake in the challenge, you can do so here.

This to me, is perfect symmetry. It’s an album from a band called Fates Warning.

perfect

And also, one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time.

But that’s not the photo.

I took this in Åland, Sweden at the end of August from an old castle overlooking the Baltic Sea.

  1. hahaha! I love old ladies! I can’t wait to be like this when I get old! (although many might say I am like this now…*ahem* husband *ahem*) But yeah, good price on the Hunters…you could have added another 200 SEK and sold them, I bet. Off to YT the band since I am all curious about new music ( “new” meaning that I have never heard of)

    • Oh, that album is from 1989. It’s just an album that influenced my path in life. Still love it and listen to it often, but it’s not something you need to rush out and youtube and it’s definitely not for everyone. 😀 If you want music I would actually recommend today, I’m happy to assist 🙂

  2. Hey, just letting you know that you don’t have to take the pictures in the same order as the themes are mentioned. You can pick out any theme you want for any day, as long as by Feb 28, you end up with 28 photos. 😉

    • Thanks, Gussje, but don’t you think it’s about time you did?
Guusje designs all of the stuff over at Kruse Art that I have plugged on the left column of my blog here under Sites That I Dig. Wouldn’t you folks love to hear how she gets her creative on?
