I’m back on my game, kids.

The phone situation is resolved (knock on skull) and slowly but surely I’m getting caught up with work after a 2 day setback. I may even have motivation to clean out one of my closets today before Mr.P comes back from the tour. I promised an all out spring cleaning fest, and as you can imagine, absolutely nothing has been accomplished. But that’s just due to laziness and an obsessive compulsive addiction to Supernatural re-runs on Netflix, and also because I have a PhD in procrastination.

While checking to see how bad my stats had suffered due to a bit of neglect of proper meaty posts the past couple of days, I saw this in my notifications:

Really? Is this a real milestone?

I mean, I remember getting one for 1000 likes, and one for 100 followers, and my 100th post, but is 1337 likes really a thing?

So I looked it up and found this, which basically says:

Leet (or “1337“), also known as eleet or leetspeak, is an alternative alphabet for the English language that is used primarily on the Internet. Ok, I have no idea what this means.

Needless to say, as explained numerous times, this made zero sense to me as I do not speak computer language, nor do I understand the acronyms of today or replacing letters with numbers.

What I DID understand, however, is that I am now a prowess:

an adjective to describe formidable prowess

Meaning, I have extraordinary ability and/or skill and also, that I have distinguished bravery.

So in closing,

Yes, Dean, we’ve established that. And I assume that you mean it in the actual sense, which is to fill one with awe, not in the “I just found an awesome piece of dirt” sense that is grossly misused therefore dumbing down the English language further than it already has been as likely explained in the meaning of 1337 where people can’t even write out words anymore.

But what it actually means is, I am now a prowess of Planet Blog, with my Zero to Hero cape in tow, and my 1337 likes trophy, there is nothing stopping now!

Except the occasional phone explosion, or couch sucking in, or ongoing procrastination, or more Supernatural episodes, or incredibly long, 20 hour back to back work days, or an explosion down at the chocolate factory after they build a local chocolate factory.

But other than that, watch out because this prowess is on the lose, Blogtown!

** Update. Just scored tickets to a show I wanted to see tonight so there will be no cleaning of the closet. Oh well…
